The Open Table

Description: Since 2023, Three Notch’d Nonprofit Solutions has provided ongoing grant research writing support to The Open Table–raising $900,000 in funds for the organization corporate, foundation, and faith-based entities. The Open Table is a national nonprofit whose evidence-based models and training demonstrate how a trained, structured, collaborative approach can energize the relational and social capital in communities to provide a continuum of support and transform lives. The Open Table’s approach centers the voices and experiences of those being served, fostering a mutual relationship between the individuals (referred to as “Friends”) and the community members (the “Table”). This relationship is essential to the model’s success, emphasizing shared purpose, safety, and support. Rather than a traditional service-delivery approach, The Open Table creates a space for those facing economic or relational poverty to define their own path to transformation. The focus is on collaboration, empowerment, and listening to the needs of each individual, ensuring that their goals and vision for success drive the process.
