Scholars Unlimited Annual Report

Description: Since November 2022, Three Notch’d Nonprofit Solutions has provided ongoing grant writing support to Scholars Unlimited, and in 2025 was contracted to produce and design the organization’s 2024-25 Annual Report. The project included conceptual design, writing and editing content, layout, and graphic design. The overall goal was to reflect Scholars Unlimited’s mission of sparking joy and learning for Denver-area families and its remarkable impact during a challenging period in the organization’s history, all while centering diverse voices from the community.

Founded in 1993, Scholars Unlimited is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to fostering the academic, social, and emotional growth of children living in Denver’s most under-resourced communities. What began as a grassroots literacy tutoring effort has grown into a comprehensive out-of-school-time organization serving hundreds of children each year through its year-round Scholars After School and Summer Scholars programs. For more than thirty years, Scholars Unlimited has been guided by the belief that every child deserves access to joyful learning experiences, nurturing relationships, and opportunities to achieve their full potential. Today, the organization provides no-cost, year-round enrichment programs for approximately 700 elementary-aged students across Denver, Aurora, Westminster, and Sheridan. More than 90 percent identify as children of color, 92 percent qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and 37 percent are English learners. Programs are located within neighborhood schools to eliminate transportation barriers and provide safe, trusted environments for students and families.
